Consulting and Research

CITAM will work with academic, industry and government partners to identify and support consulting and collaborative research relevant to economic development in the Dominican Republic.

 Current Initiatives Include:

Manufacturing and Systems Innovation :

Through CITAM, PUCMM, RIT and the Center of Export and Investment of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD) have embarked on a consulting project. PUCMM and RIT has brought qualified expertise to work together with industry and government to look for an immediate response to the existing manufacturing industry issues, specifically the textile sector (most of which is currently located in the Cibao Valley Free Zones) as well as the electronics sector including but not limited to the manufacture of medical devices (currently located in the Santo Domingo Free Zones). An action plan will be presented to be adopted and implemented.

Research Projects:

Conducted by CITAM graduate students in DR in conjunction with government, industry, and university partners.

Faculty development:

Through continuing education and short term training and collaborative research.
